I’m going to look at a one owner T7 200 40k range command with manual spools it’s 2013 with 9000 hours what are peoples opinion on the above? What should I look out for? And what is it realistically worth?

I’d be afraid of the gearbox and brakes , a lot of them gave a lot of trouble . Don’t think of it as a 200 hp tractor because it’s really only a 150 hp.

Range command gearbox been used for 25 years I wouldn’t be afraid of it!!have friend with 8360/tm150/tm155 and all he has ever touched is the damper and he be putting 1500hrs at least on each of them yearly as front line tractors. Brakes could be an issue but then again most tractors would have them changed at this stage as a preventative measure and I’d probably do them straight away if I buy it.

There are a lot of those 7200 models around here and they are getting brakes every 1000 hrs, the worst tractor ever on brakes .

Issue there is the driver not the tractor.

we have the red version of the 7200 and brakes not touched in 7000hrs

as for the power side of things there 155hp base and once on PTO work you will get over 170 at the shaft.

certainly there’s a noticeable difference over a non Boosted tractor on PTO work.

Like the one driven by Jimmy “The legend” on grassmen? that’s a driver problem.

We’ve a 7030 which earlier version, done 11500hrs spends all winter on trailer at docks. It’s just had its 3rd set of brakes plus did the handbrake.

I’ve found it pretty good, it’s a numb lump to drive but not given much bother. Biggest spend so far been reverse gear gave out. That was £3500 to put right.

Presumably u run john deere by your avatar? All il say is the nh is a long shot from the quality of a deere
Yes I run 3 John deeres and 1 valtra just need an extra tractor for the silage season it will be mowing or pulling a fusion so power wise it’s fine The problem with jd is they are gone so expensive there is at least 10k of a difference between the t7 200 and an equivalent 6150r and I always like to try different brands to see how they compare

We've had t7s do 9000 hrs on original brakes pulling either a silage trailer, grain trailer or slurry tanker pretty much all those hours so I wouldnt say there's an issue with the brakes in them more likely the brakes on what they're pulling.
I think a lot of that is drive error we ran a jd6620 with a loader to 16000 hours on original brakes without a problem

There are 2 types of brake disc too, HD and std. Think they’ll all be HD from the t7. Onwards, our T7000 series had std from new and they wore like cheese.

At replacement time I think the difference in price is something like £85 for std and near £300 for HD, maybe misremembering exact figures but a big difference in price and also wear.
