Taking silage off of set aside, p & k????

Op is in Scotland so probably means "fallow" we still call it set a side too.
You can cut it after 15th July, but obviously there is no fert been applied as you cant do anything on it from 15th January.

yes im just concerned about how much its depleting soils, only 7 bale/acre with no fert but long stuff

Get it soil tested and rectify after 15th July when you can do things then.

Usually take hay off mine after 15th July as too far on for silage by then. Nothing to stop you fertilising it after then for second cut silage though.
