TB after Brexit

this is just my personal opinion. I will declare i am moderately in favour of remain, however it seems increasingly likely we will exit.
What is going to happen to TB controls if we do exit?
There will no longer be pressure from Brussels for us to get on top of the problem.
I can see the culling will swiftly end with pressure from he anti brigade.
This will certainly be the case if the huge split in the conservative party, which. Is inevitable, allows Corbyn into power.

Surely the massive bill for replacement cattle and possible health implications is enough reason to get it dealt with, it is also a conservative election manifesto pledge, one of which was one of 2 reasons i voted for them.

there has been a massive cost for years and they have done next door to nart
We may end up with someone in charge with some backbone and common sense that will sort the problem out the simplest and cheapest way, and pigs may fly

The Tory party will most probably not split but, rather, have a purge of the more liberal element. UKIP will probably diminish as both its voters and its more competent politicians drift Tory-ward. Regardless of all else, there will not be a Corbyn Ministry. A public who binned the EU would allow him in to office.

After the reccession which is bound to follow Brexit, The media will place all the blame on the residual Conservatives which presumably will be a government of Gove and Boris.
The Current Labour party rules mean a non extreme Left winger is highly unlikely to lead it. This will not change before a harsh defeat.
With Britain in Recession and the blame being heaped on the Conservatives it is highly likely we will see Comrade Corbyn or worse in power

£50 bet to go to your / my local air ambulance, I say there won't be a Corbyn government next or next but one, you say there will - fair enough?

You may or may not be right about Corbyn, but dead right about the media. They have been pushing the Brexit cause as hard as they can, it's the story that just keeps on giving. No extra papers to be sold on a remain vote but a Brexit, the SKY is the limit.

If the EU isn't pushing to get rid of TB then the current government regardless of colour will dump the whole problem on farmers in order to pander to townies,
The EU has a 50 year view of problems, a government has only re-election in 5 years on it's mind. It will be very very bad.

Myself & @Exfarmer have agreed a wager on this. He has offered to donate £50 to Welsh Air Ambulance now being, I think, rather over-sure of his position. If I am wrong I shall pay £50 into both my local Welsh Air Ambulance and his local East Anglian Air Ambulance. Good causes all round :).

well being pushed into this, I am very happy to give to a good cause and now you have doubled the stakes :)
so if you are right, Danllan, remind me and I will make another donation
if I am wrong I will be very happy :)

As your both such generous chaps
Why not just donate the cash now and agree to differ

Either way expect to see the costs of regulating and managing our industry loaded onto us, including TB. The government tried to impose an insurance system for TB on us some years ago but, when they approached the insurance industry they were told it was an uninsurable risk (because the government are doing didly-squat to actually control it).

I could live with that so long as we were them given the freedom to manage the risk factors effectively ourselves.

Having just failed my test I would worry that if we Brexit the status quo of testing will continue but full cost will be passed to the farmer. Why not? seems like most on here are voting to exit.

It could still happen on a remain vote. The EU has strongly criticised to UK government for it's lack of progress on bTB and threatened to withdraw it's funding.

To be honest I don't blame them cos our lot on this subject are a shower of sh1t
but why am I not surprised
A good example of something to do with AG our gov has responsibility for and they have let the green huggers have to much say and totally f**ked it up, get use to this cos after brexit when our lot are in charge of far more to do with AG it will be the norm and as we seem to have no decent union to fight for us and we are f**king useless at getting together to fight for ourselves I fear it will be a lost cause on this subject and many others

No problem.
If the remedy and full cost were loaded onto producers I think I would also take full control of the source of infection were it a problem to me.
yep no problem
more f**king likely we get the cost but not the remedy with our useless bunch of wasters in charge, they would spend the money they saved by paying for TB going round making dam sure we were not doing anything about it, know our f**king lot and I can't see how anyone can say they are anything but bloody useless cos that is what they are end f**king off
