Teenager arrested after cattle shot in Co Durham

Police are looking for two other youths following the incident, which resulted in seven cattle being injured.

The animals, including one bull and a calf - which had to be destroyed due to the level of injuries it suffered - were shot at a farm in Station Town, near Wingate, County Durham.

The article said that one of the cows has gone ballistic, presumably the mother of the heifer that was put down, so make the little sht tend to her for the next fortnight - drying her off, or putting a replacement calf on. If she's anything like the one here a couple of years ago when the calf had to be pts for bvd then he'd think twice before going near her - even with her leg tied she hit the top rail of the chute.....on the way DOWN!
