Can anyone recommend a supplier for a bucket for the jcb.

We have a decent grain bucket but need a second smaller one for stone, rubble, concrete etc. Been waiting to see one in a farm sale, but at the moment that isnt happening so might be forced to buy new.

Places like Bucket warehouse , Pro forge etc sell ones for about £900 but are they any good for stone / rough jobs

X Form+ which is the heavy duty version is a brilliant bucket. I use mine for stone and muck most days and it's still as good as new.

Personally I would advise only 1.00 cu mtr capacity 7 ft 6 in wide for the usage you describe, JCB have there own Bucket which is pre drilled for a reversible Toe Plate or if you are looking long term life I would go for Toe Plate - ring your local JCB dealer - one of my customers is a national hire company with over 1,000 TH and they say they are satisfied with the quality and price.

I’ve just had a 1.5m3 jcb bucket as our old one is about worn out and our grain bucket is to big for soil and muck etc. It was about the same money if not cheaper than all the ones I could find in the usual internet places. Plenty of strength in it and just ordered with cone and pin to fit our machine so no messing with brackets. Came the day after ordering through local jcb/Agco dealer so no waiting, very happy with it so far.

1.50 cu mtr is a great size for general purpose farm bucket and occasional soil use but fill it with wet concrete and you have 3.60 ton weight and probably a bow in the bottom of the bucket depending on whose it is and distance from front to back is important (shorter = stronger) so that was why I advised 1.00 cu metre with concrete = 2.40 tons

Bought an optimus 8 bucket from albutt. Its very well made we use it for everything you've described price wasn't bad either.

Old 4 in 1 bucket for stone and dirt is the kiddie.
