Work is wanting to put me through my telehandler test as we can see me being there for a few more years for sure and I do operate the manitou on a daily basis. I was just wondering if I do it with them do the tickets stay with them when/if leave? Or are they my tickets that stay with me where ever and Say if I ever did leave would they mean/count for anything at another place of work. Thanks in advance!

Should be your ticket in your name ,,unless who you work for now has a claw back clause that should you leave with in a certain time period you have to pay them back for the test

More a question you need to ask your employer.

If they are doing an in house ticket then it stays with them and you cant take it with you.

If it is with an outside training company then the ticket stays with you.

However as said above, there might be a clause that you will have to pay back some or all of the cost if you.leave within a period after of leave at all.

You need to ask the employer mate.

I think in the past we have had an agreement that employees would pay a pro rata amount depending on the length of time that was left on the ticket for things like that. In all reality I don't think anyone has ever been asked to pay it. You never know if your decent to people they might decide they want to work for you again in the future.
You shouldn't stand in someone's way of bettering themselves if that is what they want.

They are genuine people and very nice to work for! I just wanted to get a bit of background before asking him if it was going to be in house or just for me! Thanks for all the advice and help!

Only a tosser would refuse to give you your own certificate, look after employees and they will look after you.
Whilst you do have a point, there are all sorts of "tossers" as you put it, I'm sure there are employees who would let an employer pay for a test then leave.
By and large there's a lot of loyalty from staff to their employers and vice versa.
