As long as youv got parts backup in your area shouldnt be to bad. Havin seen many diff brands workin on a new road job i was on my vote would be takuchi for small digger,volvo for 12 ton upwards and cat/volvo for large but the cat will be more expensive to buy and fix than volvo plus cats are thirsty
