Tesco profits

here we go again, giving Tesco a slating, on the amount of turn over and people they employ they deserve to make a profit, and remember there will be tax to pay on a profit, since most of you don't like paying tax, then profit is deemed to be a dirty word for most farmers,
and if the likes of Tesco offered 1000 COP contracts, you lot would be trying to get 1, so don't be 2 faced and just get on with it

Couldn't agree more. I've watched on here for years as some farmers slag Tesco off. "Making huge profits off the back farmers" was the cry. Then Tesco started losing money. I must have missed all the Tesco execs blaming farmers for charging them too much for their produce. Or maybe they never blamed anyone and just got on with tightening their belts and trying to make a profit in the marketplace they found themselves in. Some whinging farmers who think the world owes them a profit could learn a lot from their example.

Sorry I find your comments wrong,I sell to asda and would never call customers what you called them.Plus my wife shops at both and she certainly would put you right on your opinion. What do you call the men that shop there.
We need the customers to buy our meat so name calling on were they shop is rude.
Just an observation. Tesco Lee Mill and Asda in Paignton often have lots of fat people clogging up the isles and moving slowly while shouting at kids with no consideration for other shoppers. Maybe isolated to those 2 stores. That is not my fault. It's just a fact and another reason not to go there.

Best indication I have found of a supermarkets clientele is if you have to put a quid in the trolley or not.

Tesco lost money because customers finally dropped to the fact they were being ripped off left, right and centre with mediocre products called 'finest'.

Well if that is the case then it's an example of market forces working is it not? People choosing where to spend their money. I'm just back from Aldi (it's a hundred yards from a Tesco that was built but never opened) with a couple of British fillet steaks for me and the Mrs. If another store opens and I like it, I'll go there instead. Simple.
