It is shocking and wrong that the main Supermarkets led by Tesco are allowed to continue with BOGOF and Best Before Dates.

As well as food waste, we have mountains of plastic Tetrapacks, packaging etc they seem to be nothing about. Shipping food from the other side of the World must come to an end.

In addition the amount of waste produced by these Companies is a moral disaster, and a great example of bad practice and poor leadership. However they seem to think they are above the current challenges of Global Warming and CO2 emissions by continuing a massive over-supply policy that sees biblical amounts of waste of perfectly edible food, packaging, road transport and energy. Why do they not act.

The PR machine has failed miserably, in trying to make there customers believe the hype they try and sell about ethical buying and reducing there carbon footprint.

Token gesture publicity stunts will no longer suffice.

We all know about the massive amount of produce that is left on farm due to ridiculous ' specifications ' and cancelled orders, yet another scandal.

Why do the Government and Charities allow this continue ?
