I'm looking for some information from anyone who's experience of a Swale/Texel cross please. I've about 100 Swales, with shearlings & better ewes put to Swale tup as replacements/expansion with the remainder to the BFL for mules, this means I sweep with the Swale tup leading to later born Swales which are a waste of time, the tup lambs never grow out & the gimmers can be similar. I'm wondering whether to add a Texel tup in the mix? With the aim of having some lambs that are more growy/easier to finish & worth more in the ring! I've a few mule ewes so a Texel would be good for those too. Any opinions/experience/ alternative suggestions great fully received
