View attachment 987689just a teaser for you at the moment. 195 Swales arrived home this morning. Intended to take more photos but having spent the night in a lairage they weren't looking their best. I'll get a few better photos in a week or so once they've settled in and maybe start a thread.
PS I'm going to use the NCC park tups that I already have, squabble away if you want.
Doesn’t look like the Pezzaioli 4 deckerYou've made the big time now, lad!!
You'll need to start posting on the price tracker thread, telling us tales of your jolly's away to markets, rivaling the muscle and wheeler dealer buying powers of @livestock 1 and @Anymulewilldo
And I see @Al R was there too with his lorry... I guess the RR broke down again
There will be pitchforks and fires lit at the next Blackie Breeders curling night. The Perth and Lockerbie posse's will be out wanting blood - takes the heat off this Lleyn breeder for being there
(Looks plenty decent ones amongst them. Hopefully they do what you want of them. Be interesting to see/hear how you get on with them )
They don’t look a bad sample of swale?View attachment 987689just a teaser for you at the moment. 195 Swales arrived home this morning. Bugger, a few folk have told me that Swales live on fresh air! They'll get fed if the need it but hopefully not too much.Tried a batch of swales years ago, lesson learnt, they eat feed and hay all winter, what few survived to lamb all went wi lambs at foot, I thout mules could eat but them buggers would eat ta out of house un home. Had dalesbread for a year or two but couldn't keep un in, live well with little keep maybe why they did well there where always out .
Be some good lambs of the chevi, wi you keep some of the gimmers back?.
I was pleased on the day, never having seen a Swale sale before (other than what's at Longtown the same day as the BFs). Tried to go for reasonable shaped ones - there were a lot of bonnier heids for the NoE mule job but they were making £20-40 more than I was hoping to pay. They don’t look a bad sample of swale?
