Just thought I'd thank Claydons for excellent backup last Friday afternoon. Operator rang up with an Rds Artemis problem at 2pm, so I rang Claydons. Ed answered and said bring it over and we'll get it sorted. We dropped the duals off and drove it to Wickhambrook. Allan diagnosed internal damage to a cable tween tractor and drill. Fitted a new one and we were back drilling again in time to complete what we had planned to do that day. So thanks for the good service to all concerned.

Likewise when I had a problem with the metering unit jamming they were out later that morning with all the right bits in the van and good advice.

Has anyone else had their RDS box's buttons go 'sticky'?

One more block of Wheat to do, then Oats, and a field of Beans for Greening. And waiting for Sugar Beet to be lifted so that we can put in Wheat behind that. Yourself?

You have to press the number buttons repeatedly to get them to work, when inputting the calibration weights for example. Sticky might be the wrong word, unresponsive probably better!

I find that quite a bit with some of them on the yield mapping kit. Especially when the box is bleeping at me for something else, then if you press a button and it doesn't beep you know it hasn't worked.

Starting Volume barley tomorrow, still chitting blackgrass on wheat land.A bit we ploughed is still cloddy!

had motor on seed unit on drill pack up
fitter out in 2 hours which suggests they left straight away and drilling again in less than 3 hrs
had worse service from dealers few miles away!

any more news on a 4m trailed fert/seed drill yet???
