Dunbia asked for some next Thursday, I named my price with no grading. They are taking the cattle, we will see what the price ends up!We had group of 16 going abp on Wednesday, they rang asking if anymore available, iv helped them out by saying we only have 8 fit to go rather than 16 autumn glut of beef must be easing.
The question is what price did you name?Dunbia asked for some next Thursday, I named my price with no grading. They are taking the cattle, we will see what the price ends up!

AHDB report using bcms data reckon prime cattle numbers available are up on the year, so if numbers are up and they still arent enough to meet demand that can only be good news for prices. Very strange goings on.Cattle are obviously very short at the moment,I thought there must be a lot in cold storage what with all the cows they have been killing.
Maybe there isn’t much, cull cows will dry up with the increased milk price,so make them bid up for them now,it’s a sellers market. They are all very quick to hammer us when there is plenty about.
Have consumers had enough of all the climate change/vegan/woke cr@p and are eating more? There is not much to beat a good steak/burger/roast, etc?AHDB report using bcms data reckon prime cattle numbers available are up on the year, so if numbers are up and they still arent enough to meet demand that can only be good news for prices. The processors also pay a levy to ahdb, got too keep them happy . Be better if they were totally separate.AHDB trying to keep the lid on again , just like cereals , who the feck they working for? not the levy payer
You might need to adjust your 27,000 extra bullocks needed! I've got a yard full of 780kg - 860kg cattle cattle going soon, they might bring that figure down a bit.Net migration alone increased 745,000 people last year never mind domestic population growth, with the average Britain eating 12kg of beef per year, that's 745,000 x 12kg = 8.94m kilos of extra beef needed or roughly 27,000 extra bullocks
They are going to add up nicelyYou might need to adjust your 27,000 extra bullocks needed! I've got a yard full of 780kg - 860kg cattle cattle going soon, they might bring that figure down a bit.

The no.1 country for immigration flow into the UK in 2021, 2022 and 2023 was India, where the vast majority of the population don't eat beef for religious reasons.Doubt pork demand will increase by the same amount.
Them dairy bred animals can weigh very nicely. Bought quite a few myself this year.Haha, yes I was going off my dairy bred mongrels!
