The UK has a current trade deficit with the EU of over 95 billion Euros. In 1993, that figure was only 5 billion. Every year, for 24 years, that figure has grown unhindered.
During that time, the US, having no special access to the EU economic zone, and having to pay tariffs on goods just to get them into the EU and meet EU product regulations, grew their exports to the EU by over 40% in real terms (adjusted for currency value). In that same time, and with full EU membership, the UK managed just 5%.
What pray tell, was the fupping point?
