We had this on demo this week. We thought it may replace one of the loadalls, and a digger, and the hedgecutter.

It is a very nice machine, it takes some getting used to though!
It would actually do everything we wanted (just) but only with a dedicated operator, so not for us unfortunately.

Looks complicated ,,lots to go wrong which inevitably will in a major style.
Ducks are an education normally but that looks you need a degree in technology to drive it

Quite like it, takes a bit of getting used to, even for a Massey man. Dyna7 225. Better start saving some pennies.

No matter how many times I look at this tractor or how good it might be sitting in the drivers seat, I come back to the same opinion, its horrible looking!! The bonnets good apart from the tacky grey vertical stripes, the rear fender design already looks dated, the cabs ridiculous, it looks like a greenhouse has been bolted onto the fenders, the designer obviously has looked at the original 2680 and the rest has followed from there, Ughhh!! OK im sure its technically better than the out going 7726S machines, but they are so much nicer to look at...………….Mind you new JD 7&8Rs aren't much better to look at either.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one thinking the 8S looked like a piece of sh!t, horrible shape to it, almost vineyard looking...

🤣🤣🤣I meant “getting used to” from a driving perspective. I think the looks from the outside are🥰, but I get where you’re coming from.
Another issue for us is low bridges, it towers over the 6485, good to get a feel for it round the yard as well, is compact otherwise.

You mean you actually buy a tractor by looks and not the engineering quality?

Luckily managed to get these in the space of a month-6 weeks when it was fresh in the memory. 6155r direct drive , 530 Arion CIS plus and a T6.180 dynamic command. Claas probably a bit underpowered compared to the other 2 but was just what was the passing the door at the time but well worth trying anyway. Would probably be a 630 to be comparable with the rest. T6.180 had it a week and gave it a good run out. JD similar and gave it a variety of jobs.

Does it leave it book leaf level?

that’s just for sowing swedes/fodder beet. Book leaf level for grass we use this first hand. Best Buy of kit for pulling ground around and leaves it super firm with the DD packer, not sure on the age but it’s ancient but better than any bit of kit. 2 passes with simba and a quick roll with the dalbos and its flat as a pancake usually.

A lot of moving parts but very easy to drive. My only digger experience is 1 day on a mini digger.
Had that for 4 days, after a day I’d got the hang of it, after the 4 I was really enjoying it.
