X2 quads and a Jimny here, they are never used for anything to do with the housed dairy herd. Not sure why a permanently housed dairy darm would need anything really?

Yea utv be handy for lots of those. Though probably not quick enough for escapeesQuad or UTV would be very handy for:
to pull umbilical pipe around or to rush to a burst.
Transporting calves to the baby unit
Moving small batches of calves about in a LGP trailer
Crop walk
Run to the local ag merchant (lot cheaper than the pick up)
Herd escapees
Shelter in when it's hosing down
Moving stuff around the yard &/or land
Taking food out to those who forgot
(Damn, I'm talking myself in to buying that Corvus if I'm not careful)
The price of a pickup for one. We've had one pickup and aren't keen on having another. Quad for seeding is great. Can go to a field once the ice has melted and add a few kg of grass/ha. 50ha/year of that atleast. Also it'll pull dead/paralyzed animals from very awkward places. Can't see the value in pickup. 10k€ buys you a rusted piece of crap. Whereas 3k€ every 3-5 years swaps old quad for a new one. And the tax benefits, almost like it's free. What's wrong with the pick up for delivering seed? Ground conditions will be good at that point.
Hardly keep a quad/ utv for 1 job a year. And I bet there aren't many dairy farms that use a quad for sowing seed.
But I said "need". Anyone can buy what they want if they can afford it.

I was only gonna get 1 but the others insisted on coming out as well . I'll be hanging off to see what they do with them next .Surely to feck they cost the same as they are identical bar the colour of panel !
I have the Massey version and really like it .
I'd just about agree . I've been dragging a green one around gor 25000 bales and the red is a nicer colour to be honest . Too many changes got no reason just now tho on both coloursThey look better in red !
The whole idea of using a different colour of paint is to sell at a higher price, some are prepared to pay it... think of Badge engineering in cars.Surely to feck they cost the same as they are identical bar the colour of panel !

I was told a bit of stockboard cable tied above the intake feeders stops a lot of stoor n shyte getting as far as the side chains etc, keeps it much cleaner . Needless to say in the 3 yrs I’ve had it, it is still on the to do list !I'd just about agree . I've been dragging a green one around gor 25000 bales and the red is a nicer colour to be honest . I'd take a 20yr old every time.
The MF surprised me I used to drive 61 and 62 series and that 8s was OK
Nah not a chance for me I don't like the way the cab comes in at the top it feels small to me . I can't remember what smart touch is like but uou can't turn the seat in most of them because armrest catches the sideYou didn't like the smart touch all bells and whistles version? I'd rate it over the JD cab any day.
