Mmm, a shell maybe, possibly. Most materials have gone up at least 20% in the last few months. Some of them hard to get too.
But making it a serviceable home will add a fair chunk.

I did , for much less ... finished . and that included 5 grand in fees

Haven't seen it , but there's a huge difference in building a house to live in comparison to selling on

True . I think it was more how a couple on a budget made some really smart design decisions and savings.

One example; a composite (clear plastic) sheeted sliding door on agricultural overhead galvanised slider

Agreed. I think when the presenter claimed his idea of the peg board made it looked like it was from an ultra expensive kitchen maker, I'd have left that bit on the cutting room floor

Biggest cost is labour by a mile, we employed nobody except architect , building surveyor and my mate who dug the drains in .
Tagged on to farm services , and used eldest son who happens to be in the trade.
