Further to my post above the Little IH Hydro 454 is now online at UK Auctioneers (Robert Bell Auctions) Lot 534 I have been using her in the last few days to flail my conservation areas. She is a good little tractor that could be restored as there are so few left intact in my opinion.

On the topic of auctions, there's a BTD6 for sale on the 8th of October. The only problem being it's at Withams, and the reserves are always set perilously close to a retail price.

I guess they are very similar to the 956 so I would be checking the handbrake function and the 4wd is not permanently engaged. You need to have the tractor warmed up to check the latter. Look round the seams on the cab and check the bottom of the front pillars have not been bodged.

Make sure the transmission low oil pressure light comes on and go out. IIRR the warning light works via a timed relay so that it does not flash on every time you dip the clutch but will come on after a period of time with the clutch depressed.

Went too see a 856 xl plus today. Not overly impressed. Currently have 2 895s stock man and xl Duo. Im thinking now would i be better looking for a 4240 xl pro as its a model range im more familiar with

Tomorrow is sale day!! The little international 454 Hydro is Lot 534 on UKauctioneers.com at the Robert Bell and Company Dispersal sale. There are other very rare tractors there too.
