We have a united Europe right now. It’s called the European Union :scratchhead:
Yes we do have the EU but he is talking in the future tense so the EU as is is not what he was talking about
"Speaking in the European parliament on Tuesday, Donald Tusk said Europe and Britain needed “dreams and dreamers” to keep the idea of a united Europe alive and the UK in the EU."

Said many times if the people of europe want a US of E and get to vote for that then thats fine, but not the drip drip towards it.

I’m not reading that much into it - I see him as wanting to keep the EU alive as it is, and not have it fractured. Yes, we all expect it to evolve over time (some Brexiteers wish for reform, as if it is static when clearly the system is not), but I think you’re reading too much to talk about ES of E - that would not happen without huge changes and would certainly be vetoed by many member states.

It’s over ten years since the treaty of Lisbon and yet some still claim that it is the basis for a Euro army etc. - that’s Project Fear at its worst, in my opinion. Okay so some vocal europhiles want this and that, but we have opt outs, vetos and plenty of ways to control things. More so if we elected proactive MEPs rather than the disruptive rabble we put there now. How much could Farage have done to change the Fishing policies if he’d actually gone to the meetings? Perhaps not totally, but a damn sight more than he did by snubbing the whole exercise.
