Definitely we only breed when we require a replacement for the gang . The depth of pedigree has sold the rest of the litter but normally over subscribed before they’re born with orders Not now !
pepole are definitely requiring hip and elbow score

They are 10 weeks this Saturday. We have both parents. Used to other dogs and kids they already recall to the whistle.

Dogs must cost a fortune to keep (never owned one) amazing how many people complain they have no money but at the same time have a heap of pets.
Wonder what the environmental impact of all these animals is? It never gets mentioned, probably because it's a vote killer
Five dogs here, 3 working collies two working patterdales, vets have been minimal cost , feed can be expensive depending what they get fed
Environmental impact.. less than tractors and quads
I know you probably meant “ pets” but again before farming I always had a dog, would go backpacking all over and he was always at my side

If I lived on a farm, I think we would have one or two but living in town it doesn't seem right to me. The neighbours have plenty though, one Alsatian type thing just barks and barks, never seen them walk it, fecking thing.
My parents and brother have always had dogs, I don't dislike them, just never been bothered enough to get one.

I've just looked on a free pets advertising site and there are

1564 Labrador Retriever puppies for sale

And that is just one site with average asking prices around four figures. Puppies are a "perishable product" as 'cute' is gradually being replaced by 'nuisance' after about 10 weeks. Sad to say, there is worse to come. The rescues are already full and a lot of vets won't euthanise a healthy dog. Just don't shoot the messenger!

A friend has a lab, who had a litter of 8
3 unsold & struggling to get any interest, in the remaining 3 (2 bitches too)
Good pedigree and paperwork too
What’s the going rate for gun dog parent labs at present??
