Good advertising for purves undertakers
Leaving their name boards in the hearse was a good way of making sure they will never be called upon by the Royal family again, plus turning up with a Merc converted in Germany Plenty of Jag hearses available complete with UK coach building.

These days I have to wonder about the BBC, whilst it suits their viewing figures to appear pro royalty on the TV I can't help noticing that if you listen to BBC radio anti royalty views are getting an awful lot of air time, surely that should be for the future not at a time when a large part of the UK are showing thanks for our queen.
There is more going on in the background of the BBC than we realise & maybe it's out lived it's purpose!

Not paid the tv license now for about 10 years as its all complete rubbish. In fact I hardly watch normal tv and prefer a netflix or prime series etc.

The BBC believes that it's duty to provide 'balance' means giving the 2% of vegans equal airtime as the opposing view and anti-Royalist treated the same way.

Yes, this is what Emily Maitlis alluded to in a recent speech in Edinburgh.
She was once chairing a debate on the economic prospects for the country post brexit and the producers could only come up with one economist who was prepared to debate for brexit, against all the others who predicted a negative outcome after brexit.
Due to the impartiality requirements of the BBC charter, it has to be seen to be giving equal weight to both arguments regardless of the expert opinion imbalance.
This is one of the weaknesses of the BBC, and, maybe one of its strengths too.

The hearse used in London was made by Jaguar with design input from the Queen herself:

So @Bongodog you can be proud to know that a British company did make the hearse.
Even if that company is owned by the Indian industrialist Ratan Tata, who also happens to own several British brands including Tetley Tea and Corus Steel (subsequently Tata Steel).
Just don’t mention his name to anyone in Middlesbrough or Redcar…
