The Sheepdog/Collie Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre

Hi There,

Not sure if this is the right place to go to but just wanted to share my experiences with the sheepdog/collie rescue and rehab centre in Wales

BTW - I am not connected in any way to them and this isnt an ad etc

The lady who runs it (Diane) is really good and loves Bordie Collies ....everyone knows that Collies can be difficult dogs for the inexperienced owner and unfortanetly I was one of them. We had a border collier for about 5 years but it broke my heart as we couldnt give him the home he needed, or the exercise he needed so we were left with no choice but to bring him to the rescue centre as he deserved to go to someone who could help him.

She owns about 3 acres in Wales and currently has about 75 dogs on her books.

She is not a charity, she is a woman who is simply doing her best... And she pays for it by working. She has paddocks for them to run in, a massive well designed barn to keep them safe and comfortable, and she also caters for their medical needs!

The only reason I'm posting this , is you are an experienced border collie owner and looking to rehome a border collie, then please, please contact Diane Hart (Facebook details below) - She is honestly the best !

Thank you for reading this

Kind Regards

Last thursday Diane took in our collie for rehab (we had him but a short time), no hesitation, she said "bring him",

We could have ended up having a wonderful dog PTS

please support this charity

She does wonderful things

He was a lockdown dog, he has never known space to run before

irritating that we live 200 miles from the rescue whereas the previous owner was only 50 miles away, she could have helped him easier than letting us do 400 miles round trip to meet/adopt him and another 420 to take him to the rescue, good job he liked the car

still, we feel we saved him

It cost us £150 to buy him and we donated £300 to the rescue centre for his castration and upkeep and have setup standing orders for a year, dont regret it for a minute
