As above, what’s you trusty farm vehicle?

Many of you need them daily for livestock many are arable like myself

Mines a car, as it’s cheap as chips to run/tax and insure, can tow a trailer when needed.

As far as farm vehicles go, it's got to be my trusty Yamaha AG100 2 wheeler.

No battery, no electrics, it's cheap to run, cheap to fix, it was cheap to buy and will be cheap to replace. It's got a towbar and a sprayer on the back, a grubber, stilson and fencing pliers on the front and flat out it'll do 70k on the road. There's not much it can't do to be honest.

Has it an enclosed drive chain? A 2 stroke? Think I had one of them many years ago and the enclosed chain (which saw plenty of oil, that stayed on it! ) had done 9.5k miles when I parted with the bike and it was only tightened 2 or 3 times. Wish they sold a bike here like that now - it was a really useful tool.

For 8 years it was a 2007 Ford Fiesta. Bought in a hurry to get me on the road when my Defender was nicked, it proved to be the most capable, efficient, reliable vehicle ever. It spent half it's life down on it's suspension stops it was so overloaded, and the front end was held on with mastic, sticky tape and self tapping screws for five years after I found it's off-roading limits.
At 225,000 miles it was finally uneconomical to get it through an MOT earlier this year, so it's done the summer as a field car, and is now waiting to go to the breakers, hopefully to donate parts to keep other similar cars going just a little bit longer.

Yes, that's the one. They haven't changed much (if at all) since they were first brought out in the 70's, pretty much bulletproof unless you run them out of 2 stroke oil.

They still make them, sadly Yamaha NZ stopped bringing them in a few years ago and they've been replaced by the 4 stroke, electric start AG125.

1998 Toyota Landcruiser.
Had it for 20yrs and its so reliable and do virtually nothing inbetween mots.
This mot track rod end, last year a fog lamp bulb.
Last 14 yrs it's rarely detached from the flat bed trailer.
Makes me nervous to update when I see mates with £X000's garage bills and being without a tow vehicle.

215k miles, never had an easy day, had It for 12 years (since I was 21) so it put up with everything I could chuck at it back then. I would service it normally when I had to do some maintenance to it. (It didn't have anything go wrong with it for 6 years once, So had a long service interval 😂).

Still have it now, although it's off the road at the minute needing me to fit a new water pump.

The silver Hilux in the background has some big boots to fill. But had that since 2019 and love it. It does have a much nicer life though kept clean inside and out also a warranty/service plan 😂.

Hilux, very often with the identical DK trailer to yours on the back, never seen another in England bar the ones I shipped over.
I had a Ifor on order and it was never coming, then seen this in stock and took it, there made near us, bloody good trailers, just have to keep looking in the mirrors to see if it’s still attached as it doesn’t rattle like an Ifor!
