The war in Ukraine...

Very well said sir!

Some of the sanctimonious regulars on this thread (which is most of them!), should take note.

Funnily, I was thinking about Swiatek. So for well over a year she wears her little Ukraine flag (she being polish) on her baseball cap; now I think this is great. Keeps Ukraine in the public mind, obviously shows support.
Are you saying she is selfish and should give up tennis and go and shoot Russians; otherwise she is selfish?

Could say the same for people who proclaim wholehearted for Russia
all I’m saying is it’s upto Ukraine what route they take whether it be fight/negotiate or as brian would like let putin do as he likes
you’ve got to admire Ukraine as the underdog in what they have achieved upto now
ive spoke to 4ukrainians who all want to fight to get Russia out
You agree then, i see.
Or at least, you don't disagree.
No one on here supporting the russian invasion as far as i have read

i would think she is too busy🤔
Did anyone say she does?
Re-visit my post and your reply.

Seems it was unintentional, but it contained a strong implication.

However, I do still get the point that I assume you were really trying to make, which is rather tangential to my post, and yes, she probably should if she feels so strongly about it.

Firstly a disclaimer, I don't follow tennis in any way shape or form so have never heard the name, don't know who she is, and have no idea what she may have said or done.

But I don't see why the same rules that apply to everyone else shouldn't apply to her, namely, if you want to be supportive, get stuck in otherwise it's meaningless.

If your mate got picked on by a few thuggish types and instead of getting stuck in yourself you stood back and 'supported' him from a distance, well out of harms way, are you much of a mate?

At the end of the day you're no more help than the person standing back tutting at all of you about how disgraceful it is to be brawling on the street (Brian?), except that you're more hypocritical.

i disagree.
She is world number 1 for well over a year, a massive female worldwide star.
I think for a huge name like her’s to be behind Ukraine, is far from meaningless
