Seems when I'm not here there's just as many pitching in for their own sakes, my point is that Russia are either far less well equipped then we are led to believe & not something the combined force of NATO really had anything to fear from or that they are not fighting this with the intensity they are capable of.

Little confused how missile bases based on the Russian border protects the USA from Iran or is it to protect Europe from Iran in which case I wasn’t aware they are now planning to attack Europe with missiles.
Wonder if the Russians saw this being planed & built & thought to themselves if Ukraine joined NATO it wouldn’t be long before there was a US missile base on the Ukrainian Russian border .

I am confused by your confusion? You know full well the US have significant military installations, personnel and equipment located all over Europe! What Putin saw was that if Ukraine joined NATO his ambitions of pulling Ukraine into Russia would be finished. At the time Putin launched his war in 2021, with Donbass and Crimea occupied already, Ukraine had zero prospect of becoming a NATO member!

You believe the US would launch a strike to kill tens of millions, expose the world to nuclear fall out, a potential nuclear winter and expose Americans to an inevitable nuclear response? You believe missiles based in Ukraine could nullify any and all response, even from silos located in Eastern Russia far from Ukraine? You think a Ukrainian base could nullify the danger posed by Russian nuclear subs, nullify any danger posed by Russian strategic bombers? You keep espousing how Putin will resort to using nukes in Ukraine. Odd because you also seem to think Putins nuclear deterrent is a paper tiger the US could nullify by sitting a few missiles in Ukraine? Brian you crack me up .
