The war in Ukraine...

There's no point delivering F16s before the pilots are trained, there are 32 Ukrainian pilots in the UK part way through their course , I believe they leave for Spain early September for prop training and another 32 will come here.
Of the 32 ony 4 could speak English.

This all takes time, sending F16s with untrained crews would be a complete waste.
I have been told by a couple of ex-RAF fellows that there are many dozens of bright young Ukrainians, who have already got their wings or who have demonstrated flying aptitude, and who are not already conversant in English, attending cramming schools for English tuition, here and in the Netherlands.

I haven't heard this from anyone else, and I can't find any info' about it on the net; but these blokes have been spot-on regarding other things so, for now, I'll presume it to be correct and, for a change, rather reassuring.

Perhaps you are right. Looking closer it is hard to be sure if the black spots are actually holes or just surface contamination by something like burnt rubber. 🤷‍♂️

I think it's purely academic as to whether it was an external missile or internal bomb; either would have required Putin's sanction and everyone knows that. Still not entirely sure he was on board anyway, but think he probably was. If he wasn't... I bet he'll now have some serious cash down on the heads of Putin and chums... :ROFLMAO:

If a bomb Putin can cast enough doubt to at least leave Wagner unsure, if air defence missile then state involvement is pretty undeniable, though deny he will.

Is that what you class as irrefutable evidence?
There's still a lot of questions to be answered.

You are probably right. But the Russian air defence system looks sh!te-awful for any claim they make. If the Ukrainians got that far into Russia or if the Russians shot down one of their own civilian aircraft, either way they look inept. Their best bet is to claim a Ukrainian-backed bomb... start counting down until they figure that out. (y)

What...? You'll need to point me to where I've written of anything regarding this as irrefutable, which of course you won't, because you can't, because I haven't... stop throwing around silly words. (y)

I have questioned both the origins of the explosion and whether or not he was on the aircraft; I do accept it as fact that his name was on the doc's stating the he was onboard, but that's all. Nonetheless, I think it probable that Putin ordered the aircraft destroyed and probable that Prigozhin was on it at the time.

Happy to read other thoughts, delighted if you adduce irrefutable evidence for anything about this. :)

So much bullish!t in Western media & on here, matey was no danger to Putin whatever there was never ever any possibility of him over throwing Putin & becoming President of Russia, he was just a useful pawn to Putin able to take prisoners out of jail & send to the front as cannon fodder, that's something that Putin or his dodgy armchair generals now simply cannot do.

You will have forgotten but i haven't, how you retort to personal insults when anyone questions your posts. You continually post your opinion and hearsay from other experts on other forums as fact and yet demand others back up their questions and opinions with irrefutable evidence. Here's something from a previous exchange, page 917 and on.
It's also quite clear what an arrogant twit you are, straight onto personal insults when someone questions your view of things. Asking for irrefutable evidence from others when most of your top secret info comes from unknown sources (your military mates) and we are to take that as gospel.

Just thought I'd post this for reference on how long it takes to train pilots.
I would imagine that those earmarked to fly the new jets will be undergoing conversion from other aircraft types, which should somewhat shorten the timescale.
