The war in Ukraine...

Not sure what to make of his popularity, maybe it's a war thing where your leader is all you have left to believe in.
Something that has bothered me from early on has been that every time so called humanitarian corridors were arranged for people to leave the towns & cities for safety their way out was always being blocked by the "Russians" with missiles & I can't for the life of me explain why the Russians would want people to stay in the cities & towns when they couldn't claim a win before the people had finally left.
You might say it's because they are evil barstewards but with their armour being picked off regularly whilst surrounding these towns & cities you would have thought even the most stupid Russian would think the sooner they are gone the better & safer for us?
Perhaps someone has an explanation.
Ukraine is basically two halves the western half is more aligned with the EU and wants to build stronger ties. The East looks to Russia, it goes back to the USSR the mining industry in the East needed workers and offered employment opportunities to ethnic Russians. People in the west support Zelensky in the east Putin, but the vast majority only want a peaceful life and leave politics out of it.

Also civillians drink the water & eat the food so starving the city faster.

The Ruskies in charge are evil beyond evil.
In 2014 Ukraine blocked the North Crimea Canal which supplied 90% of Crimea's water in retaliation to Russia's annexing of Crimea. A relatively small military force and a huge Ukranian civilian population who were being discriminated against by Kiev

I'm all for migration of people around the world.

But there are so many Russians in the East because Stalin killed the Ukrainians in the 1930's & had another go after the second world war. Russians not really for peace.

You can’t have it both ways, you can’t claim Crimea is Russian one sentence and then claim Crimea has “a huge Ukrainian civilian population” the next.

The Russians lost a Mig 31 yesterday outside St Petersburg. Shortly after an incursion into Finnish airspace. Entirely coincidentally of course.
In another coincidence Finland is deciding to join NATO this coming week.

PS I'm really looking forward to the tankies stuff on Finland and Sweden and the Russians response.

Why does the Russian military prevent civilians leaving?

It's really simple.

So they can kill them.
Damm it's a good job you understand it all otherwise it would get so confusing.
I see Ursula has promised Zen a fast track into the EU, that is if she can persuade all the 27 to agree but then why wouldn't they, he can then join this happy union, except Maccy D has been calling the Polish Prime Minister an anti Jewish racist which doesn't help entente cordial very much, does it mean if Zen joins up that the EU army will come to his rescue, or does the EU not have an army?
Damm me it's all so confusing if we aren't you!

Just checking, do you know the Ukrainian army has been bombing and shelling Ukranians in the East (Donbass) for 8 years? Because they felt closer to Russia than Ukraine. When Russia sent help in the form of military training and equipment they were accused of supporting separatists?

Zelensky's government has incorporated the Azov Battalion in to the national guard they openly state they are extreme nationalists and want only Ukranians in Ukraine. One of their members spoke in the Greek Parliament yesterday and caused outrage.

Humanitarian Corridors and aid have been blocked by Ukrainian government to keep civilians inside Mariupol.

None of these are wild claims the evidence is easily found on the Internet.

Before you accuse me of trolling, being a Putin lover or needing medical treatment simply check for yourselves.

For the record, I've only seen Russia and Ukraine in videos on the Web but I love both Countries and their people. For the most part they put us here in the West to shame, its more or less the same across all of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Yes, some have got suspect governments but the Rusophobia being spread nowadays is just to manipulate us in to believing the lives of innocent people lost on both sides is justified.
If you watch the video I posted earlier Putin is not mad he is pee'd off with the West. His approval rating in Russia is 83%, the ruble has recovered their economy has not collapsed, the sanctions are having little effect. Where as we are being lead head first in to , well, who knows how this ends.

I agree Stalin was a mass murderer.
As for Russians not being for peace, for over 20 years they have told the West , no NATO in Ukraine they have peacefully accepted 2 stages of former Soviet states joining NATO since then. But the West kept telling Ukraine it could join.

Please watch this video.

Which is another way of saying that the West offered a sovereign democracy the opportunity to join an organisation; but a dictatorship which can't tolerate a prosperous and autonomous neighbour, doesn't want it to.

I'm not certain but I think the Russians are still waiting for the evidence that proves it, or perhaps that's the Skrypols or is it the Ukrainian member of the peace delegation?

Then there was the chemical attack in Syria in 2017, no I'm wrong the independent inquiry proved that was the CIA.

Please understand I'm not trying to justify events in Ukraine or support Putin. I'm trying to get people to understand they are being fed totally bias information to prolong a war that could have been ptevented.

Because its OK for the West to put nukes in Ukraine, but Russia can't put them in Cuba.
Have you watched the video?
