Ok thanks bomber for clearing that up.

I’m not sure why they are bothering to counter Farages new party? Surely most peoples opinions are already formed whether they be remain or leave?

Even though we need something/someone new/different to vote for, I just couldn’t back Farage.

The remain side have won by the looks of it. Even if it means going against what the majority of this country voted for.

It's a war of attrition and the Remain side are winning but we haven't won just yet. The 6 month extension is definitely in our favour, with each passing day that war of attrition will chip away at that slim referendum majority. In fact I think we've already passed the point where the majority has flipped. I think most Leavers knew in their hearts that if they didn't get Brexit over the line on 29 March 2019 it was going to be a turning point, like Napoleon getting held at the gates of Moscow, followed by a slow retreat through the cold unforgiving Russian winter snow, losing troops to frostbite with each step

imo :)

We will be out by October.
I know it.
I sense it, as surely as I can smell a rat in the barn.
Because much as they squirm, there is nobody with the balls to overturn the result of the referendum.
Nobody.

I like your Napoleon analogy, but I think your wrong. I can’t think of one person I know who has changed their mind either way. Run the vote again and I think it would be the same.

The only thing that seems to have come out of this are people are even more disillusioned with the current politicians.

I’m even at the point where I might never vote Tory again!

Leave made lots of scare stories up and all of them have been "caught" on camera by me saying they accept the UK livestock industry may be at commercial risk against foreign imports . I say Brexit should mean we keep our high standards of welfare and ban anything that does not meet the same standards

Patterson, Rees-Mogg, IDS, Farage, Davis

The whole freak show , I've heard each of them say they realise our standards would be diluted

Gove is on record as saying it won't but I am watching him like a hawk especially as he will be on the front line along with Fox to stand up to Woody Johnson

BH sounds just like the sneering liberal media and establishment we have heard for years. Heard it all before the referendum heard it all before trump got in. Totally out of touch with half the population...

Yesterday was supposed to be Brexit Day, again

Yet it passed and we're still in the EU and hardly anyone noticed

No protesting crowds, no Tommy Robinson hate-preaching to crowds of racists, hell we didn't even have scores of racists counting down to 23:00

it's over, mate

Brexit has been fatally wounded and will eventually bleed out

Close but no cigar

It makes me ruddy sick to see animals kept like that. Corporate business has no place in animal production, then folk wonder why veganism is growing.

I was at college with the deputy solicitor general and the chairman of the backbench 1922 committee.
They aren't the sort of people to renege on a deal.

Brexit will happen.

The message I get, is that while Mrs May hasn't succeeded yet, there is nobody who can or will stand up and over rule the referendum. Nobody wants to go down in history with that accolade. Political suicide.

The DUP are quietly being worked on by the EU to accept the deal and will come round eventually.

It ain't over till the not so fat lady sings.

I struggle to follow which way you actually want things to go. One minute your saying it’s been a big mistake, the next your back to your pro brexit stance. I suppose that’s the same for lots of folks

You may yet come to eat your words. They do say that a day is a long time in politics! The newly formed Brexit Party may be, at the moment, a movement that creates mirth and derision. But the Tory Party and the Labour Party too will already be fearful of the possibility of Leave voters deserting their ranks and rallying to this new cause. Something tells me that there will be mad rush to get a deal, or even leave with no deal, rather than risk the possibility of the Brexit Party getting a sizeable number of MEP's elected.

From a business point of view I'd rather we stayed in but from a moral point of view we ought to come out and honour the covenant that was made with the people. We will just have to suck up the complications.

The referendum was a bit like my wedding day. It's not about happiness, it's about duty.

I have taken on many jobs that I have regretted but I have always honoured my word and what I agreed to do.

If we can't even do that then it's a poor show IMO.

I thought you’d said somewhere on here recently, that we should accept it’s not possible and call the whole thing off.

I had. But it didn't rest easy with me.

We will have to accept the backstop arrangement in good faith. Then we have two years to negotiate a more or less free trade deal.

I believe it is possible.

No project was ever completed without difficulty.

My gut feeling is it will happen and all we be well.

We will still have a close association with the EU. But we won't be governed entirely by them.

You must respect the result of the referendum. That's the crux of it.

I was taught at school when playing football that even if the ref is blind and deaf you respect his decision. No questions asked.
