Farmers now have the answer as to why HM Treasury has declined to say what funds might be directed at any UK agriculture policy after 2020, or why Treasury Ministers have consistently declined to meet the devolved governments.

Additional borrowing and taxes must be raised to keep financing the NHS, so that there will be no money for anything else.

I wonder how many farmers will be surprised?

And (despite statements to the contrary) the NHS will receive zip in the form of so-called savings from EU budget contributions. I'd be more inclined to stem any exodus from the City of London's earning capability

He is determined to get his way with Brexit or at least make those who voted out guilty.
You would think that someone involved in the legal system would respect a democratic decision and move on.

Farmers will find a way as they did in the 1920s when the government reduced farm spending
Many talk about the 1930s but things improved then when we left the gold standard and devalued the £

Prosperity of farming depends on several factors
Prices (currency rate and import duty ) yield weather and skill or luck

If farm funds are reduced and there is no profit in the job. People will stop farming, its as simple as that, farmers don't have endless cash supplies to finance loss making businesses.

Inevitably the price of produce will rise for the surviving farmers, its supply and demand. Nothing to worry about.

I will never feel guilty for voting to leave but I am now starting to feel bitter towards them who are getting pleasure out of screwing things up, they seem to forget it is also in their best interest for things to go well too.

Criminal how some MP's want to ignore the democratic vote on brexit, walterps no better than them. Moaning all the time , which is weakening the goverments ability to get us a good deal . Proud to be british the day we won the brexit vote but also angered by the cowards who have tried to derail a democratic vote in a democratic country.

Unfortunately/fortunately their is a big world out there ready to supply the UK with cheap produce post Brexit. Just look at what the repeal of the corn laws did to British agriculture a 150 years ago.

Long term the best thing that could happen is subs get taken away and then just put tariffs on imported food that stop us from being undercut

Only those who wish to stifle the natural dynamics of democracy could object to a proposal for a people’s vote on the ACTUAL Brexit deal which is yet to be decided.

Why would anyone be surprised:scratchhead:. Again and again, it has been pointed out to you that farmers that voted leave, never expected to be better off. Brexit is bigger, much bigger, than farming.

The goverment won't let that happen. They must make sure there is cheap food for the people. So I wouldn't be surprised to see production payments back when the UK is free from the EU.
