I noticed going through town the other day , that a local kindergarten was taking their charges for a mid-morning constitutional . there would be about 15 pre - school children , a teacher / helper at each end of the crocodile , holding a rope to which all the children were tethered , with a further 2 helpers busy shepherding . And they all had their regulation high vis vests on - kids an' all . Didn't know they did diddy little vests like that . I have to say that the school supervisor was taking the children's well being and safety very seriously indeed . Rightly too , of course !
