Came across this field on my travels field of cornflowers with a few poppies, Quite rare to see the corn flowers these days.

I see drifts like that occasionally when field walking where maybe the spray has run a bit short or the wind may have taken it sideways.

I was talking to daughter about how my basement office is always cold whatever the weather outside. Eight year old grand-daughter piped up with 'If you want to get warm in a room, go and stand in the corner - it's always 90 degrees there!'

Sod ‘em. Like filming is more important than harvest in a catchy time.

They were out filming on the farm where my yard used to be, over ten years ago now. They didn’t half get narky when I sparked up with the angle grinder. They were 200 yds away so I thought it would be ok. They were proper off hand with me.
10 minutes later is came a real sharp shower and they ran for cover to my workshop asking to take shelter. I told them if they weren’t filming I could get on with cutting my bit of steel so they might need eye protection.
