Finally got the mini me after been in the hospital since Monday morning Mrs and baby both doing well

Congratulations, they come as a bit of a surprise at first, but you'll soon realise that you care for them more than you would have believed possible before having one, it's unconditional and complete.

The crying is agonising on the ear when they arrive, we've evolved for it to be like that so they can't be ignored, but you'll get over it pretty soon. Best things for me with each of our babies has been the first smile, first laugh, first 'high-speed' crawl, and the weird thing they do - when really happy and being held - of stretching all their arms and legs back and forth at the same time, it's beautiful!

It's a life-changer, but they grow up so quickly, keep a record of and enjoy it all, congrat's again.

that's the best words of wisdom.
Don't let anyone tell you "wait til they're such and such an age". Every stage has its joys and its challenges. Enjoy them and don't let the challenges get you down, they pass soon enough.

I remember @Charlie Flindt writing in FW many years ago how a stage in childhood just stopped, rough and tumble in bed in mornings it may have been.
You look back with fondness at these times, its what memories are made of.
