Third party data meter...rocs/fits

Has anyone changed their fit/roc meter to one which records data with a third party, recently my roc meter stopped when it turned 1000mw. I am export and own use. As I had no way to prove my own usage I lost all rocs generated by my own usage and only received rocs on my export only,,kws that I could prove
I've been quoted 1200 to 1500,

Not exactly, But I have a CHP unit. The meter that is installed on the end of the generator is an Iskra MT174.
I was (have always been) concerned about meter problems and loss of revenue etc.
I also wanted performance data.

(As mentioned before on this forum)

So:
This (Iskra) meter has an RS485 conection on it (although the optical port will do similar).
I connected a USB/RS485 cable to the meter and to a Raspberry Pi computer and wrote some python code to read the meter everyday at midnight.
This gets the import and export reading from the meter (at exactly midnight).
The code then uploads this to an online google spreadsheet.
So I get a read everyday from the meter. I put this read against the fuel usage on the CHP for the day (more code on my CHP), and allows me to see the output against fuel consumption.
Also great for backup purposes. I do regularly check the spreadsheet to see its working and that something might be wrong with the meter reads.
I also write the reads to a USB stick connected to the Raspberry Pi, in case the internet goes down.

I do believe you can buy something commercial that does a similar job, but it won't work with a google spreadsheet.
My cousin has something commercial on his electric meter and heat meter. But its not for me, so don't know much about it.

Depending on your meter type, you could do something similar, could send the code I wrote.
