Anyone else watching?

Refreshing to hear the views of the Bulgarian!!

Yes but have got bored. WTF - 6 episodes when it could have been far more punchy condensed in to 3.

Too many of these things go on too long. Missus is watching "White House Farm" but there is another that could have been trimmed

Only "caught" the first episode last night - wasn't aware it had been on before so must have missed it first time around. First episode was fascinating and really had me "hooked".

The trouble is that fishing like farming is a hugely different industry to that of fifty years ago.
There will be no going back to little trawlers out of Lowestoft , to catch the silver darlings for gutting and selling salted, to the Eastern block.
The fishing industry will still be controlled by super trawlers sweeping up everything they can chuck their nets round after echo location has found them. Whether these trawlers have a Scottish or Spanish flag it will make little difference and I suspect the owners and crew will be the same people as today

your probably right , but dont forget how things quickly turned regard whaling , at some point it wont be acceptable to public to hoover up huge volumes of fish ,especially when other marine life depend on it for survival

A good friend of mine’s great grandfather had two nascent businesses c.1880. One whaling, the other an oil exploration business.

Following a row over a family will he had to raise some cash and was left with the option to sell one of the two businesses. He decided oil was never really going to take off so stuck with the whaling ?‍♀️.
