Turkey provides financial and logistical support to Hamas, which is a considered a terrorist organization by much of the West. Turkey hosts senior Hamas officials, including Saleh al-Arouri. Hamas head Ismail Haniyeh and former chief Khaled Meshal visit Turkey often.

Last September whilst waiting for a second hand furniture shop to open on the Old Kent Road in London we went into a bakery/coffee shop . We asked the nice Moroccan migrant ( ex cage fighter it transpired ) what the green and white flag was over the counter. ' it's the Palestinian flag ' we were told. A year ago I didn't know Palestine had a flag a year later a lot of people like me know they have a flag and know a lot more about their history and what has happened to them over the last 75 years. That can't be good for Israel.

Why would you meet them? The US is looking for countries to turn the other way whilst Israel carries out the type of attacks that if done by Russia would have the US jumping up and down and doing all it could to get them stopped. America can stop Israel today if it wants but it doesn't want.

The truth is they can't, as soon as Biden stands down support for Ukraine & now Israel disappears, no potential replacement for Biden would ever get elected on a promise of carrying on with the mess Biden has made & any potential replacements only hope of getting elected is to distance themselves from what he has done.
So the Democrats are stuck with someone they know full well hasn't a hope in hell of getting re-elected in Nov 2024 & there's nothing they can do about it.
