Interested to see the 8m Seedhawk and Horsch Tyre Packer for sale in this weeks FW and the range of equipment for sale the previous week from Farmeco. Would love to know what they are changing to as would have thought they had reached the end of the evolution to genuine minimum disturbance Direct Drilling and CTF, or is it a step too far?

My guess would be the new seed hawk (sorts lots of the issues the old one has) and maybe a move to 10m or 12m CTF ?

Just thought though I think 8m is the widest seed hawk you can buy still with euro transport width ?

Maybe a Dale then instead !

Be Interesting to know what there next step is, as have followed how they have evolved to where they are from the Solo's etc right through to the Seedhawk as has been a very progressive step by step approach where one sets the ground up for the next phase and so on. Shows how you can't just jump from Ploughing etc straight to CTF and the associated other changes that need to take place to achieve each goal.

The wheel position, hydraulic system and frame design wasn't great for depth control. It was a euro frame design using seedhawk tines where as new machine is all seedhawk design with wheels and back and frame mounting and hydraulics that are better for maintaining coulter depth

Why can you not work CTF straight from ploughing? Should be possible even while ploughing should it not?
