Are you using 1 ltr / ha ?you need clopyralid ....which is in the thistlex along with triclopyr,,,,,so i guess you could just use straight clopyralid

you need an agronomist or look on label ...g/litre of ai to compare thistlex to straight clopyralid
you could leave the thistles until 15th july then top....repeat in oct....works as well but a bit of an eyesore whilst waiting in summer
Thistlex is good value , just a bit harsh , needs ripping up really , but better things to do .And at a price @bobk will like...

Haven't sown clover for 30 years , it's indigenous hereI guess at least your not hoping to protect (minimise damage to) clover
Always happy to be proved wrong .... ha ha .I think you've got that wrong to be honest. Never noticed any effects on grass with thistlex before...... MCPA on the other hand is pretty hard on it.
