Weirdest I've ever experienced was thundersnow on November 29th 2010.
Very surreal having snow and thunder and lightning at the same time.

That was the start of 7-8 weeks of snow and freezing temperatures that brought all the farm buildings down up here.

Rain and hail all day yesterday, m6 and east lancs a nightmare last night, came across 5 separate crashes in 19 miles.
Had an interesting moment aqua planing across two lanes of lancs in discovery, I knew it was flooded, down to about 25mph, and still went sailing away.
Remember being stuck halfway up a hillside one night, just below Glenshee, digging a bloody terrier out in a thunder/lightening snow storm many years ago, truly biblical.
Awesome, scary and beautiful all in one,
Will live with me for ever.
