Today:

After a cold start, rain, sleet and hill snow will spread south eastwards from the northwest, most of the snow with fall in the north and over high ground where temporary blizzard conditions are possible, the rain and sleet reaching all but the far southeast by evening. Despite some sunshine, showers will develop ahead of the rain over south & east England. Winds strengthening up to gale force especially in the north. Highs of 4/12C 39/54F

Temporary Blizzard conditions for high ground of Scotland and heavy snow for Northern Ireland Wales and England -we are expecting over high ground up to 20 cm in places or 8 inches

It’s a bad news good news outlook:

Taking the bad news first and it stays cool and unsettled for the next 5 days with rain rather than snow , night frost will be a problem in to the second week of May but then summer as a go and the last two weeks of May are looking settled and warmer not an heat wave but warmer, day time temps up 23C hope that’s cheered you up a bit M8
