To dress or not to dress

Not worth unless your seed has a problem. I drilled the last 5ac of a field with organic oat seed and there was no difference in the crop. Wont bother with SPD now.

Yes, no point drilling untested seed.

Nothing bad about that, but it's a gamble. If nothing else I'd get the germination & TGW measured. My beans came out at 83% germ so I've altered the seed rate accordingly. No ascohchyta or stem nematode found in the sample, so no dressing applied. I've just had the invoice from NIAB for £90 which on 35 tonnes of FSS will be considerably cheaper than any seed treatment.

And if you had time/could be bothered you could do the germination test/1000 grain test yourself. Not hardly going to take an hour is it? ;):p
