Im glad i dont, its just cost £15,000 to have a new barrel, throatplate, tubeplate, inner box, foundation ring and tubes in the R10!!!!!!

Now sits in the shed with the boiler filled with a mixture of water and urine, old wives trick for making the insides rust a bit and seal better round all the rivets and caulked joints[/QUOTE]

A wise (ish) man told me several times... " you have to get out and fold guards down anyway, check blades after EVERY field... (You mustn't listen to yourself) "

Your dad was stood at the gate and I thought feck this I'm not stopping "how many horse power is this then?"
"Is it better than the Deere ?"
"How many acres have you cut?" Etc...

I never bothered folding the guards down as I knew he'd be hanging about.:)

God knows...by the time we have made all the bores, line bored the less worn ones out, made oversize bushes and pins to fit, plus dismantling and putting it all back together, its gonna set the owner back a few thousand id say!!!!

We fitted a brand new short block to it 18 months back as it ate its timing gears and got piston/valve indigestion

Ive got to rebuild the valve block next, as it only works if you use a screwdriver to wedge the levers apart, thats how worn they are
I wish we had someone as handy and amenable with old tackle as you around here John - always enjoy your rebuild type posts.
