View attachment 518920 Been digging footings last couple days.done standard 1m dig last week but council failed it because of a very small conifer hedge 6m away so we removed the hedge.they then demanded we leave the site for 12months so the ground can settle.this is a building inspector who never worked in the building trade but her book says this so it must be right.anyway we been back to dig to 2.4 m which my Volvo won't manage so got a hire kx61 kubota.loads of cave ins and a real pain in the arse.had to dig a bit and then put 1200mm of lean mix in.finally got all footings done and hopefully going to put 5.5 cube in tomorrow.got loaned avant loader in picture to cart footing material to front of site.peculiar thing to drive as you sit on the front half but you are over the rear if that makes sense.telescopic too and high hip bucket and makes life a lot easier for us.does anyone else use one.
Nick...
i feel your pain we have one of those inspectors here,if she answers the phone you make excuses and tell her not to bother and wait till the regular chap comes back

Looks like the one that was at Welshpool collective sale last Saturday? Dealer from Dolgellau was advertising it on Facebook immediately after. Not sure if he bought it or he'd put it in and it didn't sell.
He brought it at sale and delivered it to me the following day (y)

Oh thank you :D
He just really loves being outside (y) the days he's in pain, being in can make for a very long day but when he's out it's easier to distract him.
If he never wants to farm it's fine and he'd probably make a lot more money as a pharmacist  but at the moment it's the thing that makes him most happy :)

Mrs mtx I've probably missed it but what's worse with the little fella? Good to see the wee ones out and enjoying the fresh air keep up the good work
