I feel like i need to capitalise on this oddity of pig psychology, if the electric is near to the stock net they continually dig and earth over the electric wire, rendering it useless and then proceed to dig under the stock fence making it similarly useless (and harder to rectify). However it seems if the electric is not against the stock net they don't really try to dig at it, hence it survives and works for much longer. This example has kept 50+ pigs in for months baring 1 last week.

Bucket repairs today. Twisted hanging brackets gas cut (or chewed) off, more grinding than I care to admit. Loads of measurements and trial cuts in thin sheet before cutting the proper bits. Was going to get it done but the piece of bright bar that has been in stock for ages, that I would have put my life on being 65mm, turned out to be 60mm. The annoying bit is the bucket was not a rush job and has been here a month and I could have added a length of bar on another order about a fortnight ago.

Managed to get out of the classroom and assessment centre in 4 days instead of the 5 allowed, so that’s another 5 years I can legally play with Natural ( mains ) Gas [emoji41]

So to celebrate had the day on the Farm and had another fire [emoji91]

1st is polperro coming in from talland bay on the coast path,
3rd is Looe on the bridge looking out to sea

Would there be many wee towns like that around the UK coast with the town built in the bay or would they be all concentrated around the Devon and Cornwall area, it's an area I would like to visit sometime, especially to visit places like that

Yes there is plenty down Cornwall if you stick to coastal roads same as Devon as the ports harbours were the lifeline to those places years ago lovely places

Following on from my thread a couple of days ago - this beast arrived. Made swapping to row crops on the Bateman a dream tonight! Thanks for the recommendations

Snap! Collected new rowcrops from Brock Wheel and Tyre midday, and got them on the tractor this afternoon! Makita impact gun making life very easy, couple that with a smooth workshop floor (in the shade), a good trolley jack and a Spaldings wheel changer/mover and the job was a doddle!!

Is it a 1/2 or 3/4 nut runner
And a big yes to the spaldings wheel changer
I always got an other person to help change wheels but have been using the changer for three years pluss and its a one man job using it
it take about an hour to change row crops to normal wheels or vise versa on the JD 6620

3/4" drive and some big impact sockets, wheel changers very handy for maneuvering big wheels about safely though it can be thwarted by a few small stones at times:rolleyes:, needs a clean flat floor! But so much better IMO than humping them about yourself. I did have some help today but we did it in about 40 mins.(y)
