Having completed the fence repairs, from the car crash on the 8th January, yesterday. Tonight I have a call to say new fence has been breached by another car. :banghead::banghead:Police will release no details due to data protection, but the case officer will be in touch as operator has sent them an email. Still waiting for them to get in touch from the first crash. :banghead: I feel the only way for them to get in touch is if I remove the vehicle, but that will probably land me in hot water  Too dark for photos tonight.

There have been plenty over the years, but the council installed black and yellow chevron signs about 7 years ago and numbers have reduced dramatically. The latest one might have just missed the fence if the council had replaced them from the first accident. Maybe there will be que when I get back in the morning:rolleyes:

@solo if you take the vehicle reg and some pics then pass it on to your insurance company and let them deal with it, you can claim up to £200 a meter to repair hedge not sure how much for fencing. I always clime if a car damages our hedge. After all it’s the vehicle that is insured not the driver!

(y)Hopefully this time the vehicle will be insured. The one on 8th January had 2 sets of number plates which didn’t match the vehicle so struggling to claim that one unless I get more co operation from plod. Starting to feel like king Canute:D

Not really had time to load any pics this week so here’s a catch up again:rolleyes:

While checking over the 3220 that was in for a service last week I found a lot of play in the kingpins on all 4 corners so new bearings going in.

Trick for removing enclosed bearings, quick run of weld round the inside of the casing and it shrinks as it cools then drops out(y)

AHDB Monitor farm meeting about machinery costing, was interesting to see what some of my own machinery costs where. Was pleasantly surprised by some:). And there was scones:love:

Also had a trip round the calcifert factory, very interesting to see how it’s made, and such a simple process! Unfortunately wasn’t aloud to take pics inside the plant:cautious:

Few jobs at the airport.
The NU-NU wouldn’t engage the brushes for some reason, after a lot of testing found the sensor for reverse was stuck. Trouble is someone had unplugged the reverse beeper:mad: Otherwise it would have been obvious what the issue was:facepalm:

Looks like car ploughed into fence where is is and launched itself about 30m further up the fence to the left and then tried to drive out of the first gap where it now rests. It's only 50mph limit on that road. Driver must of got confused between rev counter and odometer.:D:whistle:
could you put a sign up somewhere saying any crashed cars will be removed and only released upon cleared funds of a couple of grand?
