Cut the hill today. 2.3t/acre compared to yesterday's 2.4t/acre Bale collection has started opposite.

You can just see where yesterday's fire was in the distance. Combine was back performing earlier today so must have had a close escape.

Had one of our “different“ days here today. We were asked to provide a farm experience day for 6 people for somebody’s 50th birthday.
They planted leeks

They seemed to enjoy the day. At the end of it I pointed out that it was an authentic farming experience as they’d been busy all day and earned nothing at the end of it! 😁

In amongst yard work monday/Tuesday was cleaning bits of sheds out to make space, Wednesday went to get a couple loads of last year's straw while it's still available, Friday was would on the contractor's rake but a newer 718 with half the hours and working blowers, followed up with a day on whole crop Saturday on another 718 for the contractor

Another 45 crows in trap this morning then a day of bits n pieces, cutting 6m margines and stewardship plots
