ALL native animals here are protected by law, but there is a very clear distinction between natives & feral species.

We do have very strict environmental laws, as we should. Part of that is controlling feral species.

as I said, the ONLY concern about controlling feral pigs is if the methods are humane or not

if anyone came here suggesting they shouldn’t be

yeah, they do seem to be “special” compared to other feral domestic animals

but - the environmentalists still want rid of them just the same. I think it’s more animal lovers / horse people, than actual greenies . . .
Although it was a big Fuch up a few years ago when that aerial shooting got a lot of bad publicity
