Winter ploughing abandoned for a while just after this picture due to excess additional moistness.

Modifying some old cattle gates to become part of the cow trap that will be needed very soon.

On the tools today, hanging old wooden doors in old door frames, doors didn't come out of this cottage originally so it's taken a bit of cutting and fitting, no sprit levels here as everything is out of plumb to begin with !

Were basically farming an ancient river bed so stones and rocks are just something you get used to, we do have some good ground without stones but the majority of the paddocks have stones in varying quantities.
