It must have gone down the river then.

I watched the first storm on the weather radar

It boiled up from nowhere over South Woodham, then followed the line of Lawling Creek, and off down the Blackwater.

That was in about twenty minutes. I was double rolling a field and had to pull off fold up and drive out round some tramlines. Very relieved as I was starting to wonder what I have been doing for the past three weeks.

Interesting seedbed.

Worst part of the field that. 20% is clay like that, rest is lovely gravel loam.

The field was 6" high WW/SB, turned over with the plough, PH combi following 20mins max behind, then rolled within 24 hours.

The troughs are Moore and I need more I maybe ask the merchant if they can get me a few o them as well ! Cheers , got to be better than wood , I did a lot of fencing about 7 years ago soul destroying to see posts rotted off ground level I’m so cross about it I won’t buy wood fencing no more .

Have used good quality new telegraph poles here for posts and they have lasted well, but thought these might look smarter.

I'm amazed anything grows in stuff like that! Must be so much air between clods. Can't imagine much seed/soil contact. I've definitely girls land.

I'll go have a dig below tomorrow and grab a picture of what the seed is actually sitting in. I doubt there's much air gap at seed level.

Exactly what I had in mind....and also a footpath/bridleway through a horse field. How do they compare to concrete £ for £?

I hoped they might be fit and forget......especially if concreted in. Danger is them rusting off in time.

My concrete ones were just a little experiment I have my own aggregate so really only cost was a few bags of cement and my time time is the probleM , I bought box barrier to cut in half and use them they will be half the price of them mole ones. .
