The heifers that wouldn't do anything but run away at max speed on Saturday decided that today this chap leveling
out where the ring feeder used to be was so interesting that they would get in the way at every turn.

Then the rain came down harder than it has for weeks (it stopped as I was taking this picture).

That looks like an expensive insurance claim for the haulage company, as its not your fault I assume just bolting a piece of RSJ to the concrete column and hoping for the best is not going to be the solution.

1AM calf died so skinned and grafted a twin on, worked splendidly?

Broadcasted cereal rye into green snap corn last summer, graze it for a week or two and then plant soybeans, pry have to till as tracked it badly cutting silage.

Old alfalfa field that had been taken over by poor grasses. Graze hard (can I get around spraying it?) then try to drill barley maybe? Maybe someone else has an idea, never done it before.

Rolled the oats I planted Saturday... awfully dusty. Chance of rain tonight but they keep backing it off.
