You will have to watch when loading gravel/stone
Its not got a front guard on the top front to stop the chrome on the ram getting warn with stone going over the top when curling the bucket back
The tilt rams can soon where damage if you know what i mean
exactly , its very well made probably best I have seen but could do with a spill guard to protect pipes as you say

It looks like a lot to get going, with living cultures and all.
Bit different to putting "a few kgs of drilling super down the spout" or am I overthinking it?
Nah, you just chuck the seed in the front bins & everything else goes in the liquid tank 👍 It can be as simple or complicated as you want to make it 😁My only issue there is that “base camp” where the water supply is, is about 2 - 4 km from where I am planting & being on my own, wasting time running back n forth. It’s about a 2 hour turnaround 😮
But that’s ok, that gives me about 5 hours of planting.

No, my biggest issue is all my gear is getting tired & fûcked & desperate need of rebuilding maintenance, which I have been avoiding spending ANY $$$$$ on for about 3 years now. Apart from absolute essentials, or hodge ups . . .

I am seriously considering getting my harvest contractor mate to plant my wheat & chickies for me this winter, when we have shorter days & a bigger area to plant . . .

Now that I’ve given up contracting myself, I’m finding it increasingly difficult to justify spending money on machinery

In actual fact, a large proportion of my contract planting clients when I was in full swing either had another job, or didn’t want to own machinery, which is why they used contractors
Modern gear is very expensive to justify on just a couple thousand acres - which is why I went contracting in the first place years ago

Your sprayer man would be hung drawn and quatered over here, plus you as well for spilling fert on the ground    . wish we could just get on with farming over here.
Hope you have a good crop(y)

serious question ?

how do you calibrate a liquid output ( ie my fertiliser ) or check that all the outlets are working, WITHOUT spilling it on the ground ?

EVERYTIME I fill with seed & fert ( liquid or granule ) I ALWAYS run some out on the ground to check that all outlets are clear & everything is working. How else do you do it ?
Anyway, what’s the difference between that or broadcasting granular fert through a spreader or spraying our foliar applications of liquid ?

by the way, about the only thing Paul was doing wrong was not wearing gloves, but that is HIS choice . . . He probably should have been wearing long sleeves & long pants as well, but from memory that’s the only PPE listed on the chemical label he was using

Tbh - the little bit of fert I spilled is NOTHING compared to the amount of herbicide applied today, but that would be OK ?
If anything, personally, I’d have more issues with the herbicide application . . .
